MIA/First Fill Update

Hi All! Been a little busy lately too but was glad to know I was missed. Those 4 great kids of mine are in 4 different schools~ keeping me busy... I had my first fill on Monday, YIPEE! It didn't hurt at all but was a little uncomfortable trying to find my port. I had 2 ccs added instead of just 1 because I wasn't feeling any restriction at all. I feel some now but feel the biggest difference because I am not hungry between meals any more. This is waaaay cool! Loving it! Just curious, how many ccs did it take until other lapbanders were "full"?

Wow 4 kids in 4 different schools. That makes me tired just thinking about it. :) The fills, it's different for eveyrone and it depends on the size band you have. I have a 4 cc band and I am currently at 2.2 and have some restriction, I was up to 3 but had some problems and was taken down. If I remember correctly I started seeing difference in my when I got to 1.3 - 1.5. I stayed there for a while. I am just over 2 yrs out and still have never made it to the highest....don't think I will either. :) Good Luck!!!!!

I think I have a 4 cc band too, but need to double check. I just ate a 1/2 of a slice of toast with 2 slices of turkey (thinly sliced) and I couldn't even fini**** all. It felt more like reflux than feeling full. Ever had that experience? Thanks for the luck, I need all I can get.

All the LBL - that's "Lap Band Ladies" - need to get a tattoo to "mark the spot!" If you have read the posts, we were trying to find the perfect little design for Nancy (SilverFox.) I think you may need one too! Let's see what we can come up with for you. Ladies? Any ideas?

((((((((((Char))))))))))))You have been SOOO missed! Congrats on your fill- be really careful this weekend- my last 2 fills have shown up as restriction 4-5 days after the fill and caught me by surprise...I am currently at 2.05cc and I have great restriction. I can only eat 3ounces of protein at a time and stay full for 3-5 hrs. ( I am at 190lbs- 56 lbs goneeeeeee) Glad you have some restriction. Sure have missed you- stay in touch. How's that handsome DH of yours? Tell him I said hi- I've added 4 new Muscovie ducklings to my backyard since you were here. Love ya, Sheila

I don't know how long I can last without being filled. I thought I was going to get one when I went at 7 1/2 wks, but found out I have to have a visit, then submit, another approval and then come back, which will make it probably 9 at the least. They said my ins. needs prior approval for a fill. This is crazy due to the fact I have a 5 hour drive. Guess I'll have to rely on that self discipline! Hate I missed you the last beach trip, hope to meet you soon! Nancy
