On a positive note, I thought I start a grateful thread. Here are some of the things I'm grateful for ... I'd love to hear what you are grateful for today too!

* Having had the opportunity to have my WLS

* Having lost 37 lbs

* Being off my diabetic meds

* Not having to shop in Plus Size stores anymore

* Being able to squat down and get back up w/o having my knees complain

* Candice's post that helped us get to know each other better ... That one was GREAT!!! Keep those ideas coming Candice!

* The opportunity to get to know so many nice people on OH

* Having OH as a forum for giving and getting support and information

* The health and happiness of my family

So many more things, but that's a good start for today. So, what are you grateful for?

Hi Barb, Thank you for this thread.  Here goes: I am grateful first and foremost for God in my life and the Holy Spirit to guide, comfort and bless me every day! For my late husband Sam Fowler, who's life was honorable on every level.  I Love you Sam For my children, now grown with children of their own, whom I have learned from and love with all my heart.  I Love you Doreen and Eric. For my grandchildren who are growing up way too fast.  I love you Jeremiah, Destiny Diane, and Sade. For the blessing of my WLS and a chance to return to a happy healthy life. For OH and all they provide daily.  For all the dear friends I have made here. For all the blessings bestowed on me.  Thank you Jesus. Diane F

Hi Barb, I wanna play too! I'm greatful for......... The science of medicine which founded this surgery. For my health, which is good enough to get me through this  surgery. For my family and friends which helped me look at wls from many angles..... some have not been good. The supprt of my husband, Donnie which is leary of this surgery but understands what it means to me. For this site which has given support, info, and a lot of new friends. For my faith in God to settle me into knowing he will make the best thing happen for me. (I hope it is wls) For having a job and ins. that  I'm 99% sure will cover most of the cost. I am also greatful for the opportunity to get this all said. Thanks Barb.....Good Idea Myrtis

Oh good thread!  I am thankful for so many things...   Where to begin...   * I am so very blessed and thankful for my family and friends who have been very     supportive of me.   * My health and this amazing tool WLS has given me * My job (frustrating as it may be) and being able to afford my lifestyle * Health Insurance, oh how I love BCBS (Federal) * My boyfriend (Rex) and his love and support even with our crazy hours  * The many many nice people I've met on this Board, I've very thankful for the experiences you     share and all the advise I am given.  I have learned a lot of things I should have known all along.   Thanks for the post Barb!

Thanks for posting this idea Barb.  It might actually do me some good to look at the positive things instead of all the negative things that are goin on in my life right now. On that note, I am thankful for: -the opportunity to go through with this weight loss journey. -how close I've gotten with my family since I've started all of this. -that I'm able to be a stay at home mother and not have to work all of my appointments around my work schedule. -for my insurance company. as crappy as they may seem, they are paying for the surgery (hopefully). -for my trusty little car that has wonderful gas milage. for takin me as far as I need to go. -all the ladies of OH who have given some more helpful info and support. -last but not least, God who has made it possible to come this far in my journey.
