Lee returned back to work on Sunday so I am doing pretty good caring for myself during the day.

I have been working on house cleaning and finally finished all the laundry today and put it all up and even changed the bed.

I am scheduled to see the eye doctor next week but my sight is so bad right now I am really afraid to drive anywhere even if it is close by.

The cateract I have is a very rapid growing one and I think my right eye is having trouble now.

I am feeling good and my energy is returning to where it was before surgery.

I even went out to dinner on saturday with our nieghbors.

We went to a mexican place and I ordered fish.

The fish was very crusty and huge so I had to pick through it to just eat the tender parts and not the crust.

I wanted to eat some chips and salsa before the meal came but I did not do it because I wasent sure how chips would do in my pouch.

WOW Annie!  Sounds like you are doing great!  I can still barely get out of bed every day!  My strength is slowly returning, but I sure would like to be able to pick at some fish!  This liquid diet is the pits, especially since it has gone on for so long!  Tomorrow I have an appt with Dr Harris and I am hoping he will let me do soft foods and pull this horrid drain tube I still have! So glad to hear that you are doing so well.  Keep up the great work! Love you,

Annie-  It's wonderful to hear of how well your doing! Just dont over-do it...you need to keep letting Lee do some things for you...men just love to be needed like that! LOL I hope your able to get your cateract surgery soon. What a world of difference that will make!

Hey Annie, Glad to hear that you are doing so well.  I miss the chips and salsa at the Mexican restaurants too!  I licked some salsa off of a chip last time I went but it was somewhat spicy and since we aren't supposed to drink with our meals, I decided that wasn't a good idea!  Maybe down the road we will be able to enjoy one or two of those super tasty tortilla chips!!  Keep up the good work!

Hugs, Donna

Hi Annie,      Congrats on the excellent progress, girl!  My brother had his eye done 2 months ago and is sorry he waited so long. Good luck with the eye doctor. Keep up the good work. Mare
