Type of Surgery?  Lap RNY MD/WLS Program?  The wonderful Dr. Adolfo Fernandez at Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC What are you able or looking forward to doing after WLS?  Many things ~ I have already crossed my legs (yea!!) and have lost 3 sizes in clothes so far!!  Mostly, I just want to be healthy and happy.   Oh yeah, and ride all the roller coasters with my 14 year old son at Carowinds next summer!! How has this OH Community impacted your journey? OMG ~ there is not enough space here to type that out!!  You guys totally rock both on WLS topics and my crazy, drama filled life topics!!!  I don't know what I would do without all the love and support I have found here! Anything additional you are looking for from this online community?  Only to be able to give back to others a fraction of what I have received from everyone on here!  I love you guys!!

What are you able or looking forward to doing after WLS?  So much!  Horseback riding, being normal size again - not having a lapband anymore! - Being healthy. How has this OH Community impacted your journey?  Wonderful friends - great support - the feeling that we are all in this together. LapBand, etc.)?  RNY Who is your MD/WLS Program?  Southern Surgical Dr. Wade Naziri What are you able or looking forward to doing after WLS?  Getting pregnant, getting rid of diabetes, being able to wear pretty clothes, have more self confidence, just feel better and not be sick anymore.  How has this OH Community impacted your journey?  Wow, I think I would have given up without the love and support.  I got wonderful information off of here and knew what to expect.  I learned that I am not the only person in the world going through these problems.  I don't feel like an outcast anymore.  I feel like a part of a group of wondreful people who are brave and dedicated enough to make the decision to have this surgery to better ourselves and our lives.  Anything additional you are looking for from this online community?  I want to be able to help new pre-opers.  I want to answer questions to help pave the path so it will be a smooth one.  I want to be able to share with all the people who have suppoted me and let them know when I do finally get pregnant.  : )

How has this OH Community impacted your journey?   These are the best forends in the word and understand everything you are goind through. Pre-op/Post-op? Post-Op Surgery Date?  October 22, 2002  - 5 year anniversary in 22 minutes!!!!!!!!!!! Type of Surgery - RNY Who is your MD/WLS Program?  Dr. Kenneth McDonald / ECU School of Medicine What are you able to or looking forward to doing after WLS?  Buying clothing in any clothing store, being able to fly without asking for an extention for my seatbelt, fitting in with other "regular sized people", water skiing, being flirted with - hehe, dancing and not getting winded, being able to keep up with my nephews, not being embarrassed because I couldn't sit in a regular seat at work and a whole lot of other things! How has this OH Community impacted your journey?  Well I didn't become a member until years after my surgery but I have learned a lot from ya'll.  I have changed my way of eating again, gone back to the basics and have started focusing on me again.  I realized that I'm not in this by myself and everyone seems to have a lot of the same problems and that it's normal.  I've met a lot of very nice people and really look forward to meeting a lot more and being able to help others as much as I've been helped!  I thank God for ya'll! 

It's been a learning experience and I am a work in progress - still!  Have a great day!
