Dr. Pirrello What are you able or looking forward to doing after WLS? The one thing I most look forward to is a good night's sleep. After that, it's all gravy! How has this OH Community impacted your journey?   It's nice knowing that I'm not the only one going through my weight struggles and to see people JUST LIKE ME experiencing success and new avenues in their lives. Knowing that those changes will happen to me, too. Anything additional you are looking for from this online community? I would love to make some good friends who have traveled the same road I am on. No one knows the pain like we do.

LapBand, etc.)?  RNY Who is your MD/WLS Program?  Duke Weight Loss What are you able or looking forward to doing after WLS?  feeling "normal" again, getting off my c-pap and BP meds, all the fun things a mommy should be doing with her 6 year old son, so many things I  can't even begin to think of. How has this OH Community impacted your journey?  I am fairly new here, and am just in awe at the amazing support I have found.  And everytime I have a question I think of, I come here and lo and behold some one has already asked it....a wealth of imformation!  I love it here! Anything additional you are looking for from this online community? I would love to make lasting friendships with people who understand what it is like to be "one of us", my skinny friends just don't get it!!!!

Dr. Farrel What are you able or looking forward to doing after WLS?  To be able to take long walks without feeling unsteady on my feet also to jump off our boat to go swimming and to climb back on the boat using the ladder on the back of it. How has this OH Community impacted your journey?   Anything additional you are looking for from this online community? OH has been a wonderful source of friends and information for me. We are all on this journey together and having each other to share our thoughts and feelings is important to me.

LapBand, etc.)?  Lap RNY Who is your MD/WLS Program?  CMC-Surgery, Dr. Tim Kuwada What are you able or looking forward to doing after WLS?  That is an extensive list, but here goes..  I want to shop in regular size sections of the stores.  I want to run and play with my kids.  I don't want to be embarrassed to wear a bathing suit at the lake during the summers.  I want to be able to sit with my legs crossed for long periods of time or curl up on my couch with my legs folded under me.  I do not want to be the "fattest girl in the room" anymore.  I want to be able to ride the rollercoasters at Carowinds comfortably.  I want to feel pretty/sexy/attractive again.  I want to show up at my 20th year high school reunion in a few years looking like a different person!!!  I want to have self worth and self esteem again.  (I could go on for days here... but I will stop now.. LOL) How has this OH Community impacted your journey?  I have found such an overwhelming amount of support and friendship here.     Anything additional you are looking for from this online community?  Just looking forward to getting to know everyone better and making lasting friendships.

I am already experiencing life in a different way and its wonderful! How has this OH Community impacted your journey?  It's been great, informative and helpful especially right after surgery. I was able to get alot of information and motivation to push forward through the process of actually having the surgery. Now its just alot of fun to track everyones progress. Anything additional you are looking for from this online community?I have found pretty much anything I was looking for here, I dont hesitate to ask someone whos ahead of me something If I have questions...and I have been able to help a few people who were in the same posistion I had been previously.

LapBand, etc.)?RNY Who is your MD/WLS Program?Dr. Melkonian, Carolina Surgical Clinic What are you able or looking forward to doing after WLS?  Buying smaller size clothes, Run and play with my 21 month old son. Be more confident at home, work and play.  Ride a horse with my husband. Fitting into ANY chair!  Just being plain healthier all around! How has this OH Community impacted your journey?  OH has been a great help.  There are many wonderful people out there who have answered questions I have had about the journey.  Everyone is supportive and cheerleaders and understand how one feels.  It has been especially helpful for my husband who is addicted now and reads the message board in order to help me be successful! Anything additional you are looking for from this online community?

Here goes- my is brief but covers the bases....  Name:Sheila/ shesellsflowers Where: Wilmington NC- the official beach chick Surg: Post op, date- 2/23/07 Lap Band ( I LOVE my Band!) Surgeon: Dr Roc Bauman, Concord NC He ROCKS and is worth the 4 hr drive each way! Looking forward to: ( and already enjoying) This incredible energy and zest I have for life; no more back aches!; sitting crosses legged, indian-style, any ole way my long legs like as they get leaner; love the fit of size 12's now- can't imagine how zipping a pair of size 8 jeans will feel!!! ( my final goal is 165lbs and size 8's comfortable) OH Community: gosh- how to sum it up?- this is an incredible place with tremendous support, insight and inspiration. I do not think I would have been so successful without OH. I know no other Banders locally in Wilmington and OH is my support. I love ya and you mean so much in this journey! NOW head on down to the beach is OCT!!!!

Dr. Joseph Moran What are you able or looking forward to doing after WLS?  Play and ride bikes with my kids.  Mostly though, have the cofidence I used to have and be more out-going.  I don't like holding my children's lives back because of my embarrsment. How has this OH Community impacted your journey? You guys are WONDERFUL.  The support both pre and post op have be so valuable. It is so nice to share each others' victories.
