Welcome home! I am sure you are happy all of this is behind you now! CONGRATULATIONS and welcome to the Loser's bench! It's all downhill now, as they say. The hardest part for me was getting my strength back after surgery. I went back to work after 3 weeks, but I was weak as a kitten! Thank you so much for letting us know you are ok. You have been in many of our prayers. Don't hesitate to call your surgeon's nurse for any post surgical questions! Karen Colton, our bariatric nurse, was so wonderful and patient with me. She always called back within 24 hrs. Some things she referred to my PCP, like recurring back pain. I laid on the table in recovery for over 12 hours. My back killed me for about 3 months before it was fully healed. Please bear in mind that walking speeds your recovery, water and protein nourish your body. Those things will keep you healthy and on a fast track to recovery!
Blessings,
Diane
