Ok, I think I missed something here. What is the deal with the frozen soup? I missed that post. Can some one please explain what was said about it? I am still pre-op but am always looking for food option to help me/make my life easier later. Thanks, Linda

Hi Linda! See the post a bit ago for a link from xuberent (sp?) to Phillips Foods.  They have a beautiful selection of frozen bisques that are available at Harris Teeter.  Those of us of the full liquids portion of our diet are eager to find palatable alternatives to protein shakes and the like!  They have a very appealing selection of chowders and bisques and I intend to get over there by tomorrow to stock up!  Let me know if you need any more information.

Hi Linda and Suzanne!

I have become quite the soup queen around here!  I love soups now.  I mostly make my own from chicken broth and add all those yummy good veggies and either chicken or beef.  I do shy away from adding pasta.  Sometimes I go Mexican and add fresh cilantro and flavor it with cumin, juice from fresh lime, ceyenne pepper and corriander.  Saffron is expensive but adds a wonderful flavor to a chicken vegetable soup.  My chowders are wonderful also.  I make a great corn and potato or clam chowder.  Yummy!  Soups are the ONLY way I can get meat of any kind or eggs down.   I love bean with bacon or pea soup with ham.  It is nourishing, healthy and delicious.  However, it can get expensive making my own, so I am headed to Harris Teeter to check out their frozen soups and bisques.  And don't forget your coupons!  HT does triple coupons!  Thank you so much for the tip!

Blessings,

Diane

I am on pureed foods and I bought some of the soup Tuesday night.  I bought three flavors and they are only $5.99 for a rather large container.  Heck.. I could probably eat for a week off of one container.  I bought Lobster Bisque, Shrimp and Corn Chowda and Crab Soup.  I have only tried the crab, but it was decently good.  :)
