post op appointment

My appointment went very well yesterday.

I did loose 5lbs since last Wednesday but it puts me back at my starting weight before surgery of 343.

I am feeling better each day and hoping to start going back to Curves next week.

I did request to meet with the NUT on a regular bases and my surgeon was happy to write the order for that.

I did ask about having my cataract worked on soon and my surgeon said he would wait another two months if it envolved being put to sleep.

He did say if they could do it with a local that would be ok.

So I am waiting to hear from my eye doctor.

We are off to my foot doctor this morning for regular diabetic foot care and then a trip to HT going to work on walking with just a cart today instead of an electric one.

I did walk half of Target on Saturday and did well.

Just got to keep trying.

Hey Annie!  I am so haapy to hear that things are going really well for you.  Sorry I missed you on Saturday.  What phase are you in now?  Still pureed?  I will pm you those recipies if so.  Good for you for walking.  It is so important for many reasons.  I know I am not your doctor, but just try not to over do it with Curves and all.  I am still having a hard time with my isometrics.   We are all so different though.   You are a true inspiration and I love reading your posts.  Take care and happy walking, Candice

Hi Annie -

Glad to hear that you are doing so well. Congratulations on each and every pound lost. I know that it takes a while to get your energy back, but just keep doing what your doc says. You'll be doing laps around SouthPoint soon. LOL

I look forward to hearing what your opthamologist has to say. I'm sure that you'll be glad to have the surgery now or in the near future.

Hi Barbara,

We just got in and I noticed the tempature is going back up again this really drains me.

I did manage to walk around Petsmart and HT today with just the regular cart.

Waiting on hearing from the eye doctors nurse she called while we were out but I have called back.

Trying to stay on top of this.

Mother said they do put you to sleep for cataract surgery but then a friend who had it said they dont.

Mother over reacts sometimes and I know I do too but at least I know where I get it from and try to not do that.

Mother was giving me a fit about getting private duty nurses before surgery.

Well we had to do that she had to call and tell me how much the bill was .
