Shawana's doing good.....

Hey Guyz, I called Shawana's mom, Mary, this afternoon. Shawana was in recovery @ that time and she had not seen her yet....she was told that "everything went well". That was nice to hear! I just got off the phone with Shawana and she's doing good, in fact she was just getting ready to go for a little stroll. The halls were busy earlier today so she's hoping for a easier time...not having to weave in and around people and carts. LOL Dry mouth seems to be a common complaint. Shawana has been fortunate that she wasn't given those yummy glycerin swabs.....she has dampened swabs. The oxygen is on a low setting for her but still very drying. A barium swallow is for breakfast...LOL  What a way to start your day...yuck! Hopefully that will go fine and she'll be able to start sip, sip, sipping away. Shawana is at Presbyterian Hospital room # 515...sorry I don't have the phone #....I spoke to her on her cell. If you'd like to PM me...Shawana said she is open for conversation and I can share her # with you.

Glad to hear she is doing so well.  :)  And hey.. when you have dry mouth anything to bring moisture helps.  I loved my old pink spongy swabs.  LOL

Im glad she is ok and I really feel for the dry mouth part... been there done that and it sucks!!! thanks for the update!!!
