Biggest wow to date!!!!

This week has been sooo cool. I have now reached 190lbs, down from 246lb andddddd today I actually wore a BIKINI to the beach!!! Yep- lots of slimmer abd's showing! I am 44 yo and the last time I wore a bikini was when I was 17yr old! I had felt in a rut with my exercsing, so I have increased all my wts with wt training and more resistence on the bike. I also find it much easier to do abdominal work, now that I can see my abd. muscles! I never, ever thought I would try on a bikini , let alone wear one fishing for 3 hours! Caught a big, mean ugly looking skate, but no fresh fish for dinner tonight!!! I LOVE MY BAND!!!!!! Sheila

I wonder if at 49 I will be able to wear a bikini and I love to fish too.

You go Sheila! I know you feel fabulous! Those are two things to be quite proud of for sure. I am not sure if I will ever get in a bikini. Let's see in about another 75 pounds or so....lol. By the way, I thought you were younger than me for some reason. I am 44 also. When is your bday? Mine is Jan 30. I probably am older than you......lol.  Lisa

Dr. Bauman will be doing my LapBand Sept.14. Did you experience  much post op pain?  Have you lost 13 pounds in just one month?   That's wonderful!!   Were the first two weeks after leaving the hospital too uncomfortable (liquids?)?   Any info would be appreciated.  Also, Dr. B told me to lose some weight before surgery, but so far I have been able to just stablize. .  How about your experience?    Barbara
