On The Loosing Team Now!

Hello Everyone, I had my RNY last Thursday, Aug in Pinehurst.  They did the RNy as well as removed my gallbladder.  The procedure went well.  I have been at home recovering with a lot of help from my Mom since Monday.  For the most part I am feeling much stronger and able to get in some light walking around the house due to the heat.  However, my left side is still extremely sore.  Should this be subsiding by this time or am I just impatient?  Just want to update everyone on my good progress so far and ask some opinions Alane

Alane,      I think it will be tender and sore for a few weeks. I know mine was. One week out is still quite new. Sounds like you are doing well though. Keep up the great work! Lisa

I'm glad to hear that you are doing well and have your mom there to help you. Give yourself some time to heal ... you are being impatient, but then aren't we all.

Your left side is where the scope went in.  It's the largest incision and they have to maneuver it around alot.  You're extra bruised there.  It'll get better.  Congratulations on your successful surgery.  Keep sipping and walking. Take care. Ellen

Congrats on your surgery, glad everything went well... My surgery was Monday, and I have been experiencing some of the same pain.  I have been walking around my house as well, tried walking to my mailbox,needless to say that was not a success. Keep up the good work
