WORRIED...
Well, a little anyway... I have been running a low-grade fever since Saturday and tonight it is up to 102.5, not insignificant. Dr Harris is out of town of course. lol So I called his service and spoke with one of his associates and explained to her that Dr Harris had briefed Dr Miles on my case and that I should instruct his colleagues in his practice to call in Dr Miles if I was having any problems.
Now, understand I have NO abdominal pain, no suspicious discharge in my JP drain, and no increase in that amount of the discharge since I have started sipping water, as I was getting dehydrated on the TPN alone. I do have a bit of a sore throat and felt as though I was coming down with a cold on Thursday in the hospital.
Dr Harris' associate said as long as my symptoms didn't get any worse, to sit tight for tonight. I had a CBC done this morning by the home care nurse, but don't know what my white count was. So Dr Harris' associate will check into all that tomorrow and will call me tomorrow morning. She thinks they are going to pull the PICC line. Which would be fine with me. I always felt it was a good way to get an infection.
What an adventure this has been! Any suggestions, Team? I value your input and love you all!

Sounds like your being very proactive! Love to see that! You don't have to have all of the symptoms in an extreme manner. Catching something before it gets out of control is very logical on your part. Be persistent tomorrow to get your lab results, if your blood was drawn today...they will have your results tomorrow. Keep us posted...and keep on them!
