WOW again!
I decided to go to Goodwill to see if I could find some things that fit and didn't cost an arm and a leg. I found two pair of slacks that were brand new! I decided to get them and hold onto the until they fit.
Well... I decided to see if I could even get them up, much less buttoned and zipped ... Yep! You guessed it! I'm wearing a pair of ... can you believe it?
Misses size 14s!
They are made by different manufacturers and they both fit. WOW! WOW! WOW! I can hardly believe it. I haven't worn a Misses size 14 since I was in high school! And I had my 30th high school re-union last year!
I remember thinking "If I could just get my butt into a 14, wouldn't that be great!" Yep. It is!
Now, I think I need to set my sights lower ... Hmmm. Wouldn'nt it be great if I could get my butt into a size 10! I only wore a size 10 for a few months during my sophomore year in high school and I was only 5'1" tall at the time (I'm 5'6" now) ... it was one of those "bounce down" episodes where I lost down to a 9/10 for a few months and then gained it all back and plus some.
I am not losing weight that fast, but I'm really dropping sizes. This is heady stuff!

Way to go Barbara!!!!! See I told you that you would be in 10's eventually and you probably will be there before you know it. And Onederland is SO close! But regardless you are seeing big loss of inches! I think that is more important than the scales anyhow. I am under the weather....waiting on the doctor's office to call me back. I haven't been able to keep anything down at all last night and today. Including liquids. I have been having problems off and on for over a week now. They will check to see if there is a possible stricture. Anyhow, glad to hear your news! I love hearing about everyone's success. It gives me hope! Lisa
Lisa -
I'm so sorry to hear that you are having a hard time. You might try ice chips to try to keep hydrated.
Please let me know how you are doing.

Such a difference. I remember being exstatic when I was a "chubby" 5'1" size 9/10 for a few months. I felt so slim and you felt fat. It's amazing what perspective does. My sister is heavier than she has ever been in her life and she's wearing a 12/14 and feels awful that she's heavy. I'm down to a 14 and am exstatic!
I'm still trying to get my head around wearing "Misses" sizes. I'm not sure that I can really believe that the fit. I keep checking the tags ... LOL
I know that you will get there too. How's the "fight" coming?

Honestly, I'm still trying to get my head around a size 14 misses. Like you I still can't imagine me at a size 10. I'm not sure that I ever thought that a size 10 would ever be a possibility ... part of me still isn't sure.
I'm looking forward to all of the changes though... and as you say the healthy insides are the greatest part. I am so very grateful to be off of all of my diabetic meds and still be keeping my numbers in the 90's. That is really the reason I took such drastic measures. Getting smaller is just the I can see it part of the equation. Not a bad part either.
I know you will be right behind me.
I am looking forward to "meeting" you this week-end.
All the best,
