NCACC (cigna) County Health Plan Coverage

Hello  I was wondering if someone could shed a little light on an insurance coverage issue> Does anyone:   Work for Durham County Government   Have "Cigna" (NCACC) High Option Insurance coverage   Been approved or in the process of being approved for wls at Duke WL Center?   Had to appeal a insurance denial, etc. If so, I'd love to hear about your journey or read about your obstacles, inspirations, etc. A co-worker was recently denied after doing the 6-month dr. supervision program.  Was wondering if this is 'normal' what 'county' employees and what they might do for success. Any and all information would be greatly appreciated. Wishing much success to all the pre-op and post-op family members. Take care.

Hello,Yes I am responding to my own question.   Seems as if no one has the same problem that I have with Insurance.  Can I ask another question...can someone share their experience with dealing with Cigna period?  As possible approval gets closer, me and my co-worker are anxious to hear about success....trying to claim it and not be negative.  Any/all replies would be greatly appreciated.

Hi SweetSag, I have CIGNA and in Greensboro, NC.. I am currently in my second month of my 6 month supervised diet... I didnt even try to submit any paperwork as I knew this was a requirement for approval by them... God Bless with your approval process and hopes for a swift answer. Rahsheeda

Hello Rahsheeda,   Thanks for your response to my post.  Next month will be my last month of the supervised diert and I was trying to get a heads up on what to expect with approval.  I also have many comorbities and am truly hoping that it won't be a problem for me to get approved.
