Repost..dumping

This is a repost from before......would any banders like to comment on "banders dont dump"  I really think I have, but would love an explanation. Post Date: 8/3/07 5:27 pm Ok, I think I've had it....can someone explain exactly what dumping is.....for the record.  I've had some tell me it's vomiting and some diarrhea.

Vomiting, diarrhea, heart palpitations, hot flashes are all some of the symptoms I've experienced when dumping.  The hot flashes and palpitations come first followed by diarrhea later.  You may be dumping, but I was under the impression that dumping comes from the rerouting that RNYers have done to their intestines, not from the stomach restrictions.  My instinct is that you had to do a preop and post op diet that was nearly sugar free.  Your body is not used to the sugar and when you try to reintroduce it, it dumps it.  Heck, if it was me, I'd go with it and assume that I can't eat sugar any longer.
