Duming syndrome
Please don't get me wrong, I'm not out to sabotage myself and consume a lot of sugar. I'm working hard to do all the "right" things and take care of myself. However, I noticed that I haven't ever felt what has been decribed as dumping. For example, if I have milk ... some people say that they dump on the lactose in milk ... not me.
I guess I'm wondering if this intolerance to sugar is something that develops over time, or is it something you have right away ... I didn't think you'd have it right away because people can use Ensure or Boost ... But if it develops later, when should I expect it?
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Barb

Excellent explanation from Jennifer!!!
I have dumped either from not paying attention (bbq sauce on something one time) or testing the waters like a bad child (does this really happen like they say??? Duh. . . )
You will know when it happens and you will not forget it. You will not "test" many things after that. I don't dump anymore because I meticulously look at labels now and if I'm out and not sure I don't eat it. But you will survive if you do, just not at all pleasant.
