I hope everybody is doing good on their weight loss.  I have lost 26 pounds now.  It seems like now that I am not stressing over it so much, every time I get on the scale I am down a little more.  It is great, but I am wondering about something.....My BMI has gone from 53 to 49.....I am already approved for my surgery for December 17th.  If my BMI has changed, could that effect my approval?  I know I wont lose alot, and like always, I am sure it will come back.  That is why I still want the surgery.   I am diabetic, high blood pressure, asthma, and PCOS.  I think that is enough to keep my approval good.  hahahaha  What do you ladies think?  Don't get me wrong.  I am estatic that some of this weight is still coming off, but I have been through so much with my insurance that I am terrified that they will find another reason to deny me.  I miss talking to everybody!  I have still been really busy with work and school.  Take care.  I wish everybody luck and give you my love!

Great new photo! You look wonderful!

Talk w/your Dr's. office, mine said that I could continue to loose as long as it didn't go below 35 because I have comorbidities. I have to say that working on it before hand, like you are has made it easier for me ... in my head ... what I mean, is that because I'd already been working on making healthier choices, I didn't struggle as much as I think I might have otherwise.

Thank you!  I cut my hair too.  I feel so much better about myself.  Yeah, alot of people told me to go ahead and start eating better.  Get into practice of eating like I will after the surgery.  I think that will make it easier.  I hope all is going well for you.  Take care.

Way to go!  Why should that effect your surgery? We all lose some before hand anyway. Love the liquid diet.  Glad to hear you are doing well. How is school going? Acing it, I bet. I have babies for you to take care of... the furry kind... 5 bunnies. Don't stay gone so long, we miss you!  Big hugs

Once youve gotten the approval from the insurance company you are good to go. Only thing would be if your BMI starts getting lower than 40 I would talk to you surgeon to see where he wants you to stop with the weightloss. I went from 288 to 252 before surgery and the surgeon said not to lose any more weight :-)

First visit to surgeon - 288 ~ bmi 45.1
2 week pre-op 252 ~ bmi 39.5
Total lost - 153 Since surgery - 117!
Goal weight - 155 (mine) 180 (surgeons)
Current weight - 135 (2020 I lost 10lbs due to dedicating myself to working out more and being in better shape)

1/14/2025 still maintaining 135 :-)

Extended TT, lipo, fat injections - 11/2011

BA/BL/Arm Lift - 7/2014

Scar revision on arms - 3/2015

HALO laser on arms/neck 9/2016

Thigh Lift 10/2020

Thigh Lift revision 10/2021

Thanks for the reply.  I am at 49 now.  I dont see myself getting under 40.  Never thought I would be scared to lose too much.  But, I do want the surgery because it seems like a more permanent solution.  I have lost before and it comes back and brings a few ugly, mean pounds with it. hahaha  I will keep them posted.  I still have 4 months to go......Thanks again.

Well, frankly, I've had more fun in my life, but in regards to surgery, it is better, much better.  I would do it again in a heartbeat. Ellen
