I have a question
It should start when your physician documents it as such a visit... if the first visit a "diet' wasnt discussed (and documented into your chart!!) you will have to wait until the 2nd.
First visit to surgeon - 288 ~ bmi 45.1
2 week pre-op 252 ~ bmi 39.5
Total lost - 153 Since surgery - 117!
Goal weight - 155 (mine) 180 (surgeons)
Current weight - 135 (2020 I lost 10lbs due to dedicating myself to working out more and being in better shape)
1/14/2025 still maintaining 135 :-)

Check with your insurance. Callt he number onthe back of your card and make a friend of the cust service rep you get. Ask them to help you thru the process. Get their extension number and ask if you can call back with questions. That way, by the time you submit, you have a friend and cheerleader "on the inside" who can help get stuff where it needs to go, and bug the people who need to be bugged on your behalf.
As for my ins. My cust service rep, Deborah, told me that I had to have six consecutive months of dr visits. In other words, one in Sept, one in Oct, one in Nov, One in dec, one in Jan and one in Feb. For me, they did not have to be 30 days apart, but I could not miss a month. And the notes had to include the conversation with the doc about my weight loss program.
Good luck! go make a new friend with your insurance!
