Diane Fowler seems to have left us ...

The last time that I had contact w/Diane was last week when she posted her distress over some considering WLS posts that listed wt as a competition.

She had planned to join us at the beach this weekend and was going to carpool with me, but I couldn't reach her and ultimately had to go without her. We really missed having her with us and have been worried about her. I've tried reaching her through posts, voicemails, and PM's to now avail.

Wendy just contacted me tonight and asked it I had noticed that Diane seemed to be "Deactivated?" I honestly hadn't yet, because I hadn't been on much in the past couple of days. When I checked my friends list and did a search for Diane, I wasn't able to find her.

It apprears that Diane has left us. I'm really sorry she's gone and wish her all the best. I hope that she will be able to get the support that she (and the rest of us) need as we make this journey.

She was right about some people thinking this is a contest. I went for a long time and did not post. About 2 years ago I had some women be so mean to me about my picture and called me so many bad names........But I come to know they was just jealous and mean. If you gotta make me feel bad to make yourself feel good then I feel sorry for people like that............Diane took up for me one time when the rest was mean to me. I think she is wonderful............

Yeah, I was really disappointed to read her post last week. I always found everyone on here to be very genuine and super supportive. I never got the impression she got from others. Maybe I have missed something. I hope that she is doing alright. She was sweet and I miss her too. Mare

Thats really sad that she left, she was always so nice to chat with. I wish her the best of luck and hope she comes back.

Is that why I can't find any of her posts?  I am sorry to lose her,  I can understand her concern about competitive attitudes regarding weight loss.  One of the first things I heard when I shared that I was going to be put on a PICT line with TPN was "Wow!  That is going to give you a GREAT jump start on your weight loss!"  Definitely not where my head was at the time. A moment ago the hospital NUT came into my room and told me they were going to reformulate my TPN mix and she wanted to warn me that the caloric intake would not promote weight loss.  I confess to thinking that my surgeon told me this am that he was going to retest me for leaks tomorrow and if there are none, he will wean me off the TPN and start me (back) on liquids.  And I thought with releif of how I would be avoiding all those calories!

I don't know:  with respect to these forums, I find it best to consider all opinions, then take what I can use and leave the rest for whoever might find it to be of use.

I too will truly miss Diane's support and words of wisdom. I'm so sorry that she has left us. I hope she will return.

I am sorry to hear that about Diane.  I found her to be very supportive and uplifting and enjoyed "talking" to her on these boards.  I hope she doesn't let all the negative people chase her away for good.

Diane was really upset last week but I was hoping that she would reconsider leaving us...I guess not.  I'll miss her inspiring posts and uplifting words of wisdom.

I thought when she saw how everyone supported her and understood how she felt she would stay. Maybe she will see our concern and the number of folks that miss her and come back. I can see no competition....we all have our on reasons and goals. I want everyone here to make it to whatever goal they have set. Go Girls and guys Myrtis
