After banding on Thursday, we drove back friday am.  Got re-routed from raleigh airport to bum f___ egypt, ended up comming in through Kinston!  Anyway, we made it safe and sound. I sip, sip, sipped the trip, and I ate ONE hard candy,mmmmmm was so good. Last night my body felt like it was trying to fight the band, for my temp wuas up to 99 something from a normal 96.  I sweated all night, but this morning I'm over it.  Still feel spacy from the anesthesia I guess, Having my first cup of coffee, yes, the only thing I have is caffinated coffee, but I'm using splenda and non-fat creamer.  Yesterday (my first day, ) I managed to get in almost 40 g. of protein.  Today I'll work on more- cant wait till I can go to GNC on the 1st and get unflavored protein to mix in broth. Need to go to the gym today to use the treadmill....DH is petrified of blood clots and it will appease him.  He has been soooooooo very good so far, I am blessed.   Nancy

Nancy, I'm so proud of you. You are doing great. Going to the gym already, you go girl! What are you using for your 40 of protein? Definitely want to hear product reviews from you. I am starting to stress the whole protein thing in the early stages. Once I can eat again I should be ok as far as getting all my protein in but this early stage has me scared. I have taste and texture issues. Linda

Glad to hear all is going so well Nancy... I would love to hear how you are getting that 40g in as well.  I have been struggling with that.   I am sliding over to make room on the looser's bench for you girl!   Glad to have you back!!!

I dont know what I was thinking this morning when I posted that post..I made one of those shakes and only had half, forgetting to cut the protein content in half. Duhhhhhhhh. Oh well.  I am drinking the body fortress powder protein mixed with mild, I like vanilla personally, just cause I like vanilla anything.  It gives me 23 g., then add milk for another 8 proteins which is 31. For a clear beverage I got a case of that ready to drink isopure from GNC.  It's ok I guess.  I thin****ill I get food.......this will be an issue for me too.  I just did 30 mn on the treadmill at only 1.5 mph.  At least I was moving and out of bed!   Nancy

Way to go Nancy!!!!!!!!!  Bum F...Egypt.  Oh you mean you were in Beaufort?  Thats what my Aunt refered to it as.  Well actually she called it God's ass end of the Earth.  SHe was in a bad mood that day and she was from Pittsburgh.  Well your off to a good start.  You go girl!
