Surgery in Mexico, local fills?

I am looking at having lap-band surgery done in Mexico since my insurance won't cover me (I haven't weighed enough for the last 5 years, just the last 4).  Any advice from anyone who had it done in Mexico would be appreciated as well as a suggestion of who could do my fills locally.

I can't speak from experience since I am still pre-op, but from reading the board I have heard that people have a hard time finding a doctor to take them as a patient after WLS if they themselves did not do the procedure. They don't want to be responsible for someone else's work, I guess. And that is when it's done in this country. I would imagine they are even stricter if it's done out of the country. (Maybe not the same for LapBand vs RNY.) Like I said, I am only stating what I read. May find out different. I hopoe you do. Good Luck! Mare
