Mare, I know you've heard it over and over now but let me though my 2 cents in, DON'T GIVE UP!  Get in touch with your Surgeon.  Do they have a website?  I found my surgeon's email address on the practice's website and emailed him.  I was pleasantly surprised that he responded and called UHC twice!  He also stayed in touch and answered every question I had.  Can't hurt!  Hang in there, I know you are frustrated, hurt and just plain angry.   Go outside and yell MABEL at the top of your lungs, you'll be surprised at how much tension it will relieve.  Why Mabel?  I don't know, just something a very intelligent person told me once, it has always made me feel better.   All together now:  MABEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sorry to hear about the denial but I'm so proud of you for fighting it.    You hang in there..  alot of times the things we want most in life are the things we have to fight the hardest to get.  I can tell that you are a very strong woman and strong women are the ones who make this world better for everyone.  I'm willing to sit in protest in front of your insurance company.  Wouldn't they be shocked when they saw all these people sitting in front of their offices.  Just give me a call.  I'll be here whenever you need me.  Your friend, Bobbie
