Kicked to the Curb

Hi Donna - Thank you. I definately have other means of paying for it, but I was reeeeeally hoping I wouldn't have to. I sent them an appeal letter, which I don't expect to make a bit of difference, but I'll play the waiting game for the next "15 calendar days." (That's supposed to be their decision time.) LOL I'm hanging in.  Not gonna let it get me down. Been fat this long... ;O) Mare

Mare -  Sorry to hear about your denial letter and crappy surgeons office. The situation is DITTO with me. Don't feel left behind...we're sitting at the bus stop together! LOL What's the deal with UHC anyhow?! Deny everyone the first time and see if they bother to appeal? I have always felt very good about my healthcare with UH****il this WLS junk. I can't figure it out they have already paid over 2500$ for my pre-op testing...and now their going to deny me? Sounds kinda STUPID to me! Yeh, keep paying for all of my health problems for the next 20 plus yrs. as I remain fat and unhealthy? Crazy...sorry about the rant! I'll be typing my appeal letter next week after my sleep study!

Mare,      So sorry to hear about your denial letter. I just don't understand. Do they give a reason? You do deserve this as much as the rest of us have! I just don't get these companies. I hate that they leave our health up to insurance companies. They don't realize that they will spend more on health care for your obesity related illnesses than they would for surgery! Crazy fools. Keep your head up. I hope you wrote a awesome letter and they approve you here soon!
