bariatric card?

MY HUSBAND TALKED ME INTO GOING TO RYAN'S ON SATURDAY NIGHT. THIS IS THE FIRST BUFFET I HAVE BEEN TO SINCE MY SURGERY IN OCT. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. AFTER I PAID FOR OUR MEAL THE CASHIER TOLD ME THERE WAS A BARIATRIC CARD THAT I COULD GET THAT WHEN SHOWN AT SOME RESTAURANTS THEY WOULD LET YOU EAT OFF OF THE KIDS MENU OR AT A DISCOUNTED PRICE. I SEEM TO REMEMBER SEEING THIS ON THIS WEB SITE LONG AGO BUT I CANNOT SEEM TO FIND IT ANYLONGER. ANY ONE OUT THERE KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT? I BELIEVE $9 DOLLARS IS A BIT MUCH FOR A COULE OF OUNCES OF BAKED CHICKEN!!!! THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY HELP

I think you just need to ask your doctor for one. I need to do that as well. I feel pretty sure the docyors may have them. My guess.  Lisa

I received a card from the manufactuer of the Lap-Band that states we can only eat small portions. When we went to a buffet resturant (Golden Corral) I ordered take out, which is weighed and sold by the pound.

My nutrionist at Duke gave me mine.

Thanks for the heads up on that...  I will ask Dr. K about it when I go back for my check up.

My doctor gave me mine.  The only problem I have is that I don't want anything from most kids menus.  Cheeseburgers, frozen pizza, macaroni and cheese, hotdogs, etc don't do much for me, or my pouch.  I prefer to order adult portions and take the rest home for a couple more meals.  I hear that Golden Corral accepts it for their buffet and charges the kids price.  Take care.
