First 20 lbs gone

I've been here so many times in my life. Lose 20 lbs, be on top of the world, then it comes back. Well this time it's different!! This morning marks the 20 lb gone mark, and I can't tell you how good it feels to know that I'll never again be the weight I was yesterday. It's a wonderful feeling! I keep wondering when the nerves will set in about this surgery, but honestly, I don't think they will. I have faith in God that no matter what the outcome of this surgery is, it will be his will and that will be what's best. I read a friend of mine's blog from 2 years ago yesterday and in there she made the comment that she wasn't affraid of dying. Even though I am absolutely NOT ready to leave this world behind, I'm not affraid either. Whatever is in store for me, I am ready, wholeheartedly... Ready! Thanks for listening to all my ramblings. It's very nice to have this place to come to to vent my feelings and put it all out there in the open.

Holley, You have the right attitude and that's 90% of the battle!!!!  You are going to do great with your surgery and let me just tell you, each day just seems to get better and better!!!  I will be two weeks out tomorrow and have already lost 15 lbs and that's not counting the 6 lbs I gained while in the hospital (thanks to all the IV fluid!!!).  This is the best thing that I have ever done for myself and I look forward to what the future holds for me cause I know it's all going to be good things!!!  The nerves may set in in the next couple of days but that's just normal and by surgery day, you will just be ready to get on with the show.  Good luck to you and God bless!!

Hugs, Donna

Hi Holley - I can't wait to lose and know it won't be back also. Sometimes the road I'm traveling to get there seems too steep and rocky to continue...then I read something like your post. THAT is what keeps me going.   Thank You  Mary Ann

{{{Mary Ann}}} It does seem like a long road doesn't it? I think your description of that journey is very accurate.  Sending you lots of love and support. Feel free to send me a private message anytime. I haven't even had my surgery yet and I can tell you that the hard road to get here is very worth it. Keep up the good work hon and take it one day at a time.
