Still no fill......
The good news is that the port is where it should be, and still right side up. After going to Rex today for a fill, Dr Moran was still unable to reach my port. He tried several times, but with no luck. He said that he needs a longer needle, that he was going to order them this afternoon, and we would meet back at Rex sometime next week to try this again. I think I'm going to call it a night, my stomach is extremely sore. All the poking, proding and being stuck kinda got to me this time. Dr Moran was great, it was obvious that he was frustrated about the situation.....He apologized and said he knew how much time I had taken out of my schedule to get this done, and he really tried hard to make it happen today. Hey it's all good.....I told him if this is the worst thing that happens to me today....it's been a great day. I hope the soreness goes away quick so I'll be ready for next week. Thanks to everyone for all their prayers and thoughts. Gnite ~Sarah~
Sarah -
I'm sorry that it didn't happen for you today ...sorrier that you are so sore.
I'm sure the next time will be the charm.
Hope to see you in the morning.

Sarah,
What about emla cream? When my dad had a port for hemodialysis, they sometimes used emla to cover the site and then wrapped it with saran wrap. It really worked to numb the spot where the needles would go. Just wondering if that would keep you/us from hurting so bad during fills. You're in my thoughts and prayers...
