Question

I have a question, it may be silly and I should have asked the surgeon earlier today but what is an Endoscopy? Im having one of those next Friday.  Does it hurt?   Rahsheeda

They insert a scope through your mouth to look into your stomach and esophagus.  They're looking for ulcers.  If you have any, they'll need treated before surgery.  They don't hurt, you'll be given drugs so that you won't remember anything.  Think of it as a nice nap. Take care. Ellen

I had one run into my lungs which is very similar and I would rather do that then have my teeth cleaned. At least you get a nap!!! Good Luck  Myrtis
