Good Afternoon Everyone
Hello Everyone, I had my first consult today and have all my additional appointments scheduled.. I have my EKG and an Endoscopy on next friday and then my psych eval and NUT appointment on 8-3.. I dont have to have a sleep study, not sure why, but oh well... I am happy right now, I thought the appointments would at least take another month or so, but I was surprised... Now Im just continuing to follow my 3-6 month supv diet, and I will be on the way... Thanks for everyone's warmness and kindness, hopefully my schedule will start to slow down so I can post on here more... Hope everyone had a happy Friday... Be Blessed...

Man.. that time will fly by. Mine sure did. Before you know it you will be on the loosing side! Take full advantage of your time of dieting. I lost 26 pounds and it made me feel a world better!
I did not have to have a sleep study either. It may be age or the lack of signs of apnea. I also did not have to have a cardiac consult or EKG... I think what we have to have pre-op is based on individual symptoms and insurance requirements.
It feels good to get moving on your pre-op tests. It's like you've finally gotten somewhere. I was relieved to get those out of the way. Good luck with your diet, anything you can do to get healthy ahead of your surgery will make recovery easier and reduce your risks of complications. We'll be here to cheer you on.
Take care.
Ellen
Thank you all for the well wishes, yes once you get rolling with the appointments it finally seems as if I am getting somewhere. I wish I could have had all my tests in one day but friday's are my only day off, so I was just trying to get as much done one that day and then whatever else that couldn't be done, I would work around my work schedule. I am currently on a 1200 calorie diet, only drinking water and crystal light. Would it be a good idea to start throwing in a protein shake as a meal now or just wait for the 2 week pre surgery diet? Im trying to follow everything to the "T" so there is no room for denial. So please continue to keep me lifted up in prayers as I will you all... Be Blessed and Take Care

Rahsheeda -
It's good to meet you. I look forward to hearing about your journey. Please be sure to ask plenty of questions. You'll find that this board is very supportive and there really is no such thing as a "stupid question."
Welcome!
