Not for the faint of heart...
Hi Suzanne,
The complications that some have had worry me too but like you I am really trying to stay focased and not to mention hoping this pain in my hip will get better.
I am able to stand upright now for short periods of time.
I continue with the ice packs and trying not to take the pain meds and sticking to motrin.
DH was great yesterday he helped put up all the laundry and cleaned out the pantry.
Lee keeps telling me he wants me to get better.
I want that too LOL
I wish I was comming to the beach I love going to the beach and one of my goals is to be able to walk on the beach again.
Maybe next year at this time I can enjoy the beach again.
I wish you lots of luck with your surgery and a speedy recovery.
Do you think I should get a private duty nurse to stay with me at the hospital?
My mom really wants me to have one.
Annie
Yes I don't know how much walking on the beach I will be doing 4 days post op! But I want to make an appearance and meet everyone!
Honey, I can't think of why you would need a private duty nurse. Your husband will be there and most of the time you are going to be at the hospital, you will be focussed on getting OUT! lol My experience with hospitals is that they keep you pretty busy. Don't know what a private nurse would do for you. What does your surgeon say?
Suzanne
Suzanne,
My mom sorta lives in a bubble and is very unaware of how people live in the real world.
Thanks for your opinion it helped me hear how someone else felt about it.
Yes my hubby will be with me inbetween checking on the dogs and me.
In fact mother wanted me to order a bed jacket to wear at the hospital if that clues you in on what mother expects LOL.
I told her I could not find any in plus sizes LOL.
