There was a post on the RNY board about buffalo burgers at Trader Joe's with 43 g of protein per patty.  I had seen a lot of posts recently about TJ's and so checked out their website.  They are opening one in south Charlotte (Rae Rd) in mid August.  They also say they are opening one in north Charlotte "coming soon", and I see they have one in Cary.  Whooohooo!  Can you  say "shopping"?!?!?!?

That is certainly worth a trip to Charlotte.  I will be going there anyway for my followup visits... and I bet buffalo burgers are good.  :) Although, right now nothing seems good to me.  LOL

If your looking for Buffalo/Bison ground meet....I just bought some the other day at BJ's. My husband uses it to make jerkey. I have also bought it at Kroger. Just a little FYI if you'd like to try it and don't have a Trader Joe's by ya!

Does buffalo/bison have a higher protein content than most other meats?  (Seems like based on the Trader Joe's box)  Or do you think they "beef" (pun intended) it up some?

The meat has more protein and is almost always "all natural" No beef'n it up as far as I know.
