I just read your posting and I know your story very well For what its worth after I read your post I stood up to fast and the date 10/17/07 just flashed in my brain....LOL maybe a sign.. I really hope you get this all approved because you totally deserve it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my! I hope I don't have to wait that long, but ya never know. Besides that, my friend Tina's birthday is 10/19 and she said she might come for her birthday if she can't in August. Are you my "psychic friend?" LOL Oh - and I found a picture of Janice Soprano and emailed it to my friends for their opinion on if I resembled her or not. I was informed that I should "*****slap" you for that one!  Apparently, she is not so attractive and somewhat of a slob on the show.  Bwah hahahahaha But thanks for loving me and all my ugliness anyway!    "Look away! I dont think Janice is unatractive at all!!! as far as being a slob on the show... well I never thought she was LOL No Im not a psychic LOL thats the date that popped in my head when I read your post... I hope it means something GREAT!!

Mare,  Keep us posted!  I had to go in front of a board before I was approved (but that was back in 2002 - wooooooo!!) Anyway, just to let you know I was 59.3 BMI and I'm 5'9 1/2"...  Keep the faith, I'm sure it will all work out!!! Talk with you soon!

I just read your post.  I can honestly say I think I know how you must feel.  I have been telling myself that I'm not going to get too excited about this surgery because I could be denied and I don't want to be disappointed. ( Yeah, right!)  Like that ever really works!  I will be crushed if I can't have this surgery or I'm not approved for some reason.    My BMI is over 60.  I just want you to know that I'll be praying for you and I understand how important this is to you.   Bobbie

Hi Bobbi - Thanks for your prayers and good wishes. I really am still hopeful, but I am more prepared for disappointment. Sad, isn't it, that someone else has the power to decide if we have lifesaving surgery or not. They will cover all the meds and treatments we need to survive this disease, but they don't want to fix the problem.Go figure. Hope things are well with you. Take care, Mary Ann
