Hi Onyx and welcome to the Board!  This is definitely the place to get the moral (and more) support as you trudge through the insurance approval process!  I know so many of us can identify with your frustration and are happy to help in any way we can.  My suggestion is to just keep putting one foot in front of the other and don't back down!  You will outlast them! Thanks for the words of encouragement.  I'm crossing everything hoping they approve.

Hi and welcome to the NC board!!    I'm sorry I don't have any advice to give you on your denial letter.  But sounds like everyone else has pointed you in the right direction!  I hope you are able to get your approval real soon! Hugs, Donna

Just an idea ... the Duke program is a Center of Excellence for BCBS and once Duke gets all your info together and sends it in, it seems like BCBS just rubberstamps the approval because Duke is so darned thorough. My application came back approved in 6 hours. I know I had been under 40 BMI a couple of times in the 5 years prior to applying and was right at 40 when I applied (and had no other co-morbidities) . So, I wonder if switching to Duke would help. I know it's a long drive, but ... might be worth looking into.
