Home after prolonged recovery!

I am home following my lap band surgery today. I was scheduled for 9:05, but my surgery was pushed back to 11:50 and was actually operated on at about 10:30. Everything went well but I was unable to wean from the O2. Not sure what that was all about... I felt like someone was sitting on my chest and I couldn't catch my breath. The procedure only took about 30 minutes, but I had to stay in recovery for 4 hours! Pain is minimal. I was given liquid hydrocodone and have just taken my first dose. I feel more discomfort than anything. Eating Jello and drinking water and crystal light. Keep me in your thoughts and thanks for all of your well wishes! Special thanks to my angels. -Chareen ps- forgive any typos, I'm still a little groggy.

Glad everything went well for you today and that you are home resting!!!   I had trouble with my breathing after surgery too but then again, I always seem to have that happen after I have surgery.  They kept me on O2 until the morning after my RNY.   Rest up girlfriend and take care of yourself.  Post again when you are feeling up to it!!   Congrats on being a bona fide loser now!!!! Hugs, Donna
