I'm home!

Hey everyone!  Thank you all for your constant encouragement and prayers.  It has been an interesting past five days to say the least but hey I am excited.  I did make it up the stairs into my condo today.  Couldn't quite rate my pain afterwards but I made it.  Now if I can get used to tubes hanging out of my tummy we are in business.  I am working hard on the protien, fluids and walking things.  I definitely hope to see everyone on Saturday at the meet up! Hey Candice. I will miss seeing you on Saturday but I'm glad you are home. It's always better once you can sleep in your own bed. Keep up the good recovery and hopefully you will make it to the beach.  Jennifer

Candice, Congratulations!!!  You're doing great!  The tubes will come out soon and the pain will go away..  Keep it up!!!

Welcome Home Candice dont worry about the tubes they will come out soon. I had tubes in my stomach a few years ago and I felt like a Borg ( a sci fi person) Godd luck and a speedy recovery.                                                                          Annie

Glad to hear that you are finally home!  Now you will really get to feeling better!  The first 3-4 days were the absolute worst for me ~ I really regretted doing the surgery.  But I am one week out today and have lost 10 lbs from my surgery day weight (I gained 6 lbs of fluid in the hospital so if I count that, I've really lost 16 lbs total) and I feel great.  I plan on going back to work on Monday!!  I am starting to get really bored here at home.  Day time t.v. sucks!!!  LOL!!!  Take care and get plenty of rest!!
