Does anyone know how much the lapband surgery is with insurance? Also, how much out of pocket if you do have insurance?

It really depends on how your insurance pays.  Have you met your deductible?  Do you have co-pays?  What does the insurance pay before the deductible is met and how much after deductible is met?  How much do you have to pay out of pocket before it hits 100% payout?   Every policy is different so check your benefits booklet or contact your HR department if employed for more information.

Thanks very much for your reply. I have met my deductible. I'm just wondering about how much I will have to pay out of pocket? My plan will pay 90% after deductible.

I was just at an information session at Durham on Friday. The surgeon said that it cost $20,000 for the lapband and 36,000 for the other one. He does them both but he was not very flavorable to the lapband
