Hello all, Just a short note to say that I had my post op visit with Dr. Farrell this past Monday (it was a week early because of the second hospital stay) but all is well now.  My blood count is back up but I am a little anemic so I have started my vitamins.  He said that I can return to work on Monday the 16th so that is the plan. I have been busy at home catching up on some sewing and ironing and the like.  Nothing too strenuous just busy work.   It is three weeks today since my surgery and I'm down 25 lbs.  My clothes are fitting much better now.  I'm probably not losing as fast as some but then again I don't have a thyroid so I expected my weight loss to be on the slower side compared to some others.  This is okay.  The scales are going down a little bit each day and this is all good.  No regrets here.   I will say good night now and go back to the message board to check on how you all are doing.  Again I want to thank everyone for their support and prayers.  This is an amazing journey isn't it?   I'm on the losers' bench now saving spots for those still waiting for approval and a date.  See you soon.  E

Ethel,      It is good to hear that you are feeling better and on your way. Everyone has been thinking about you and glad that you are on the mend. 25 pounds is great! Congratulations. If we were dieting without this tool, I dare say we would get that result in three weeks. anyhow, keep up the great work.

Lisa

I'm so glad you're feeling better Ethel!  Thanks for letting us know you are alright.  25 pounds is fantastic in three weeks, I know I couldn't have done that prior to surgery!  Keep up the good work and please keep us posted. Take care. Ellen

((((Ethel)))) I am so pleased to hear you are doing well!  25 lbs in 3 weeks is fantastic!  Losing weight much faster than that is not good.  I know you are right on track.  Please don't compare your weight loss to some of those on the board.  You are doing fantastic!  I'm sure Dr. Farrell would agree with that.  The bottom line is that you will lose the weight.  So who's losing faster at this point doesn't even matter.  Ethel, I am not far from Kernersville and would love to visit you.  We could meet for lunch when you feel up to it.  I'll buy you lunch.  Can you see us ordering 2 bowls of soup! LOL  no no no... cups of soup LOL  Talk to you soon. Diane
