Candice and Donna, Everyone has covered it with the supplies. I took a camera too but that is up to each individual. The hospital has everything you may forget.  See you on the other side soon.

Candice -

Don't panic! Remember that this is what you've been working towards and waiting for. You are going to come through the surgery itself just fine. You need to use the pain meds when you need them. Stay on top of the pain, don't let it get the best of you. (I did that and it was a mistake.) Be sure to walk, walk, walk and rest, rest, rest. Your only work will be to walk, walk, walk, get those fluids, protien and suplements in ... other than that, remember that your body will be working really hard, so rest, rest, rest so that it can do it's work. In no time, you'll have lost more than me ... and we'll be off to shop for the latest styles in stores that just don't carry plus sizes!

Check my blog and Donna's post for suggestions on what to take.

Thing of you,

Barb

Candace,     Best of luck on your surgery. Relax and everything will be done and over before you know it. Everyone is so true about the stuff. I had a bag packed and used nothing from it.....lol. I did use my slippers but other than that nothing really. In the  end, you will be happy that you made the move and soon on the road to a brand new life. Lisa

Good luck Candace!!  I am taking my own gowns on Monday because I cannot stand hospital gowns.    I am also taking my laptop because I am a computer nerd/junkie and the hospital has WiFi.   Time is a ticking away.. I know you are excited!!!

Good Luck! and Congratulations!  I know it all will go great.  I will have you in my thoughts and prayers.  Dr Mitchell has me on his schedule for Aug 2nd so I am anxious for a full report:  procedure, what to expect, etc...  From past experience - get a robe that snaps for ties so you don't have to bend to zip it.   Alane
