4 Days??? OMG...Panic!!
Hello, everyone!!
How are you? I am so out of touch with everyone.
My surgery is this coming Thursday and I am really...ummm...too many feelings to express. I am pulling together my check list for the hospital and feeling like I am forgetting something major. Anything from the veterans that you took (or wish you had taken) to the hospitalthat was a life saver?
Congrats!! !I It seems lie you just posted that you were looking into surgery and now your in the final days.
My last 48 hours were miserable. I had a horrible migraine. I stayed busy, busy, busy. I worked until the dya before and the prep drink kept me busy.
You will do fine and will be doing the dance of victory. Bring your crocs and Ipod because you will be buring some laps at the hospital. You are awsome.
Please email me if you have any last minute questions or just want someone to listen. Nothing is too sillly. Next summer you will be in a bikini and lookin hot.
Hi there! I know I am showing my age or out-of-touch-edness, but I have heard "crocs" mentioned several times on this forum. I am assuming they are some sort of slipper, but I don't know what kind. Since I have NO slippers to my name and probably should at least look into getting something to wear at the hospital, can you please tell me what exactly crocs are and where do I get some?
Thanks!
Suzanne

Hi Suzanne,
Don't fret. Crocs are a brand of rubber/plastic shoes. They are really not all that attractive (in my eyes) but quite comfortable and skid resistant. They have many knock off brands available everywhere and in many colors. The original crocs probably run about $40-50. My son likes them for the shower when he goes camping. They look like a clog with holes in the top of them. You can look them up on line to get a visual.

Hey Candice,
I'm right in front of you with only 2 days to go (well, 1 1/2 since today is almost done!). I'm more excited than nervous at this stage and ready to just get it all over with!! Most of the veterans have told me to take chap stick, hairbrush, my favorite personal toiletries, magazines and/or puzzle books, and comfortable clothes to wear home along with my favorite pillow. I think the hospital basically provides everything else we will need.
Take a deep breathe and try to relax. We are doing the best thing we have ever done for ourselves and everything is going to be fine. Good luck to you on Thursday!! I look forward to hearing how things went for you!
Hugs,
Donna
