Endoscopy Yesterday Update
Thanks to all who posted relpies to my original post. Your input really put me at ease.
Pitt County Memorial Hospital was wonderful. Every one was no nice. I felt like I was their only patient. I was expecting my blood pressure to be up since I was so anxious before I went but after reading your posts a calm came over me. Perfect blood pressure. The procedure was over before I knew what was what. One minute the nurse was putting the little bit between my teeth and the next second, or so it seemed, I was back with my husband with no recollection of anything in between. All I have to say is that they gave me some GOOD drugs!!!!!
They found that I have a small hiatal hernia and erosion in my esophagus. Has this happened to any one else? Will the small hiatal hernis mess me up for the surgery?? The endoscopy doctor put me on Prevacid.

Hi! Glad to hear you're back and doing well! Your hiatal hernia won't hurt anything in terms of having RNY surgery. If you were going for lap band, that would be another story. Erosion in your esophagus however is something to be watched. I imagine I have it as well due to slippage of my lap band.
Glad you're back and doing well!
