Evening everyone, I routinely book my cruises through  www.vacationstogo.com  website ( their 90  day ticker- which is when cruise ships release rooms that are still available has FABULOUS deals!). But- if you go to Carnival ships on the site, then click Celebration ship ( its almost at the bottom of Carnival's list) and then click deals for this ship, it looks like there are indeed rooms available for the cruise 1/31/08 and they MAY be cheaper. It's hard to tell for sure because of port taxes, etc. but wanted to let folks know because it MAY be cheaper, it does take in account if you have cruised with Carnival before and the deadline is not a quick as OH. So, I thought I would pass the info on. I LOVEEEEE thie website! Sheila

Thank you all for the wonderful information on vacations and getaways. One of the reasons that I hate to go to the beach and anywhere I have to wear a swimsuit is because of my weight. I feel like I am so outta touch with discount vacation spots and websites. I actually booked a room at Carolina Beach for this weekend (even though I haven't had surgery yet) because it just sounded like so much fun! Leaving in the a.m. Please keep those recommendations coming! I will need them I join you wonderful losers!

I hope you have a great weekend at CB and book another room to come back down on Sat 7/28 for my WLS potluck dinner. It's for pre-ops and post-ops and just a chance to meet, have some fun and we are also doing a clothing swap. I'll be glad to send you directions to my house. Enjoy your weekend, Sheila

I just heard back from my travel agent with Vacationstogo.com their rates INCLUDING port taxes, etc are $359.08 total for an oceanview cabin for the WLS cruise on 1/31/08. This is $10 more than OH's price, but you do not have to reserve RIGHT now to save a cabin. Just wanted to update everyone. I will definitley be onboard this ship- great mini vacaction before Valentine'a Day chao****s! Sheila

Hi Sheila! Just got back from Carolina Beach and had a great time, very relaxing. 7/28 is my anniversary weekend so I don't think I will be able to come back that weekend. If our plans change, I will definately let you know. It sounds like so much fun and I can tell this is a wonderful group of folks. Thanks again for all of your vacation insight. -Chareen

Hey Shelia, I have been MIA for a while now but wanted to let you know that if at all physically possible I will be at your pot luck on later this month. I have been speaking with Wendy and Barb about the details.   I am very interested in knowing more about this cruise.  This is the first I have heard of it and I would love to jump on board.
