10 Days & Counting

WOW!  July 16th is bearing down on me big time!  I remember when they called me on June 27th that this would just drag out because of this liquid diet.  Again.. the liquid diet is going well.  However, Aunt Flo is trying to show up for a visit and that has halted my weight loss on the liquids temporarily.  I was actually up 1 pound from yesterday.  OY. When I was in Charlotte today I stopped at Books A Million and bought "Before and After" by Susan Leach. I had to put it down.  I almost felt she was writing about my life.  All of the feelings and embarrassments.  I know we have all had our fair share.   I had my pre-surgery inteview and man.. talk about LOTS of scary questions.  It is okay though.  I answered them all and am all set for my RNY.  The nurse who interviewed me even praised my choice in surgeons.  She said that he was "one of the top three surgeons in Charlotte", which I consider to be a great compliment since I am sure there are hundreds of surgeons in Charlotte.   Anyho.. just a few random thoughts.  Man.. time is ticking down for sure! 

Jennifer, It does go by quickly. If I had to give one piece of advice it would be get up and walk as soon as you feel able in the hospital. It helped alot with the gas pains. Enjoy the journey.

Walking is #1 on my list..  I have had two C-Sections and was walking within a few hours of both.  Trust me.. I know the benefits of abdominal surgery and walking.  Those nurses will not have to come and get me up to walk.. I will be doing that on my own!!  LOL

Hi! Jennifer, Your doing great. Time is flying by. My appt. is Tuesday. The day can't come fast enough. It's good that Aunt Flo came now. Hope it doesn't come again after surgery. Hormone change. When I had my gallbladdeer out, it happen to me. You might want to ask just to make sure. It might just me? Your pre-surgery inteview question that were scay, are there different than what we have learned over our investigation on WLS? It's also good that we have pick a great surgeon.

They were a little bit different than that 150 page packet we had to complete for Dr. K.  LOL  But honestly not too much.  Just more questions about anesthesia and how you tolerate it..   Girl.. we need to get a picture posted for you... At least an avatar.  I may have to make one and send it to you..

I printed up the directions how to down load a picture.  I will go step by step and see if I can accomplish this task.  I'm  not to computrer smart on these kind of things. I need to do it several times before it sinks in. 'll try to get it up to day.

YAY you did it!  And girl.. won't we all look better after surgery?  LOL
