Diane called me earlier this evening to see if I had seen the post on the main board about the 2nd Annual Celebration WLS Cruise ... I headed off to see it ... OMG, it looks like such a fun way to celebrate WLS ...

Highlights:  it's a 4-day Carnival Celebration cruise Jan 31 - Feb 4, 2007. It leaves Jacksonville FL, cruises to the Bahamas, then on to Nassau and back to Jacksonville.

It's 299/pp dbl occupancy for an inside cabin and 349/pp dbl occupancy for an outside cabin. What a deal!!!

For details, go to the main board and look for the "2nd Annual WLS Celebration Cruise"

Diane and I are going to do it! It's really reasonably priced and a great way to celebrate the new year slim and fit. I can't wait to go shopping for the cruise!!! And I plan to    ... without having my knees or back hurting.

Does anyone else think that they might be interested? We could have an NC contingent!

It sounds like a lot of fun. But guess what?....shhhh, don't tell anyone! I'M A CRUISE VIRGIN! LOL I've never taken one because I fear that I'll get claustrophobic and I'm scared of heights! I would never be able to walk along the railing, or probably even look at it! Hmmmm? Do you think you could convince me otherwise? All I can think about is sinking or catching some dreadful virus that seems to go around ships? By the way, I know I'm crazy! I've the papers to prove it! LOL sinking ship

You two are a stitch. I've been on a couple of cruises and I have to say that I stay away from the rails and I actually don't feel clostrophobic because the rooms are generous and the common areas are huge.

I'll work on you at the beach :-)

Omg Wendy, you took the words out of my mouth. I am terrified of big boats like that but I'll hop on a smaller one in a heartbeat. How do they keep all that weight from sinking?  It's so big!  I love the sound of this but I think I would have to be kept sedated in my cabin for the whole thing. Sheesh, panic attack even considering it. One time my then b/f surprised me and drove all the way to where you get on the ferry to go to the outer banks. He drove right up in line and I'm glad we had to wait, because it was the perfect time to tell him I couldn't do it because of my fear, so he got pretty bent out of shape and we turned around and went home. Whew, close call! I wonder if I can talk to my therapist about this so I can go with ya'll?????? Hmmmmm.

OK Jennifer and Nancy........ I'll set up some group counseling for us! LOL I can do the ferry boats and small boats too..but the cruise ships are SSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOO huge - how many stories high?! I have a hard time walking around the 2nd floor at the mall! Never had a problem when I was younger.......guess I am getting crazy in my old age! LOL

I checked out the cruise site and it sure looks cool, along with the excursions, I need to check out what they run. I sure do wish I knew how to snorkel I really think the price is for the whole thing. Hugs, Nancy

Nancy -  I snorkeled for my first and only time 2yrs ago. It was great! This was walk into the water and swim around the reefs. I'd love to do it again! However, I would not do the "Jack Cousto" version of being dumped off in the middle of the ocean! LOL If the price is for the whole trip....I'm in!     Anyone else!
