Sugar Free Drinks

Hi Everyone.  I'm a newbie and have a question with regards to sugar free products. I am a month postop.  I am wondering if anyone had a problem tolerating some of the sugar free products?  I have tried Crystal Light and others in my water for a different flavor and even tried Tropicana sugar free drinks.  They don't make me nauseas, but they make me feel like my system is off, so I ditch them.  I even get this when I put a packet of splenda in my cereal and try to eat the sugar free puddings and jellos too.  Before the surgery, I had no problem with sugar free, but now my system feels like it's off when I consume them.  Orange sugar free popsicles go down great though!  Has anyone else had this problem?   Thx!

I went for my last nutrition couseling before surgery on Tuesday and the nutritionist was saying that sometimes after surgery patients have a hyper-sensitivity to sweets.. meaning anything that tastes sweet.  She told me I may have to water down Crystal Light and things like that to accomodate them to my new anatomy and taste preferences.  :D

Thank you Jennifer.  I didn't know the sugar free would also cause a problem, but thx for the info.  I will water them down more.
