Since you had the band, I can just about guarantee you that it's the swelling. It really does get better. I'm glad you took your meds. Getting those fluids in is really imperitive. One of the people who had surgery the same week that I did wasn't getting all of their fluids in and looked pale and shakey when in the office. After a few bags of fluids IV, they were alright.

Hi Jennifer, It gets better, just takes time.  I'm just about a week longer than your surgery date.  The sore throat is from the tube during the procedure, I still get a feeling of something stuck in my throat every so often.  Are you making crystal light or decaf tea?  I seem to do better with cold drinks, mostly decaf tea with splenda.  As far as the gas, you just need to try to get in a much walking as possible. When do you go back to see Dr. Moran?   Hang in there, Mary Pat
