By The Way...

I meant to include in my last post that I was expecting to get a surgery date at my final visit with Dr. Harris. Contrary to what I have heard from some people, my doctor will not choose a date without insurance approval. New Hanover Regional Medical Center will not schedule any surgery without prior approval from insurance company. Besides, he says, he doesn't want me to have "false hope" that it will happen on a certain date, then have insurance company take their sweet a** time getting back to you with approval, just to cancel at the last minute. Very discouraging. Says once he gets approval we can "bang this out!" LOL Nevertheless - I am ready to roll! Low carbs and plenty of fluids till surgery. I have lost the required "30 lbs." Now, I need a little help with the rest. My mom says "You lost 30 lbs! Can't you just keep doing what you're doing?" Nope! If I could, I would have done it by now. 30 lbs to lose is a lot different than 230 lbs! Moms...they just don't get it... (((cheers))) Mary Ann

Mercy.. how many of us have lost and regained hundreds of pounds?    I will raise my hand on that one because I KNOW I have!  If any of us could have done this with the "conventional means" alone I know each would have.. but I needed some type of intervention.   Some people do not and will never understand.  I have come to live with that fact, but that does not change my mission or my belief in what I am doing! I have lost and gained so many times added up my weight should be on the negative side of  0. I can loose weight but it always find me. I don;t know what i will do if I cand have this surgery. I understand your dilema. I think we all do.
