Hi guys,      Just wanted to let you all know that I am home from the hospital. Quite sore right now but know that is normal. Anyhow, to you old timers, did you weight when you got home? Big mistake here. I guess I am full of air and fluids cuz my weight was up 7 pounds. I would guess that is normal, right? Anyhow, I am on the loser's side now. It is bound to come off now. On the downhill slide here.

Hi Lisa, glad to know you're home!  The weight gain is normal and will pass quickly, literally. Keep walking and sipping and concentrate on getting well.  Welcome to the Bench! Take Care. Ellen

Lisa, Hey girl. I weighed too. I was up a pound and I'm really swollen. How did everything go for you? Are you experiencing the gas bubbles when you drink? I have a knot and it feels like I need to burp but can't. I've only had 10 oz. fluid but it's hard when it hurts. Let me know if you're feeling the same. Jennifer

Glad to hear that you are home and doing well.  I'm sure the excess weight will totally be gone within a few days.  It's my understanding that they pump you full of air and IV fluids while in the hospital so I'm sure that's all it is.  I hope things continue to go well for you. Take care and keep us updated! Hugs, Donna

Welcome home Lisa!!! Way to go!  I was up 10 lbs when discharged!  I told them that scale is wrong!  I didn't understand about fluids and all.  It's pretty normal.  I lost 31 lbs the first month (41 if you count those 10 lbs!)  so it too shall pass!

Hi Lisa, I had RNY on the 26th of June and will tell you that you will be sore for a while.  I just 1 week out and still have much tenderness, especially on my left side.  Last night was the 1st night that I could turn on my left side, and boy did that feel good! Try to walk as much as possible, and put the scale away! Mary Pat
