Hello All Newbie Here

Hello, my name is Rahsheeda and I am in Greensboro, NC. I am just starting out on this journey as far as gathering all the paperwork to take to the surgeon.  I am very excited and also very nervous. I am having my surgery at Central Carolina Surgery, not sure of my surgeon yet... I am hoping to have my first initial appointment within the next week. Welcome and good luck.  I just finished all of my pre-op stuff and am on my two week countdown.  It comes quickly!

Hi Rahsheeda ~ Welcome. Always nice to see new people. I have found so much support and inspiration from everyone on this board. They have kept me going when I felt like there was no end in sight. Now tomorrow I find out my surgery date. Whoo Hoo! We are all here to take this journey with you. :O) Mary Ann

Hi Rahsheeda and welcome!  I live in Thomasville so we are practically neighbors!!  I started this process back in November of 2006 and my surgery is scheduled for next week so it took me about 8 months or so from beginning to surgery day.  There were days I didn't think I would ever make it.  But thanks to God, my family, and all the wonderful friends I've made on this board, I did!!!   You will find everyone here very friendly and supportive so if you've got any questions, just ask away!!  Which type of surgery are you looking into?
