HURRY UP!!!!!

Morning friends! I am supposed to find out my surgery date on Tuesday. Yesterday I went to Walmart to gather up some things that I am going to need. Got my Flintstone's chewables, my chewable calcium, my sublingual B12 and a tape measure. (No, I haven't been brave enough to measure my girth as of yet.) I was looking at the nities. I thought a new nitey would be nice for my, hopefully, one day stay in the hospital. I mean, I have a bazillion jammies already, but I want to look my best as I mosey around the halls. Anyway, I found a lovely yellow one. Very soft and lovely. It said it was 3X. Looked big enough, so I bought it. Last night I put the thing on and "OY!" I looked like a big, yellow sausage! It was horrifying, to be honest. Normally, I would have cried to see such a sight, but all I could think was "I won't look like this much longer now!" I hope my insurance company will respond in a timely fashion. Seems like the closer I get to my surgery, the more disgusted I become with myself. Just wanted to share. Have a great weekend all! Love, love, love, Mary Ann

Yup Mary-ann, that's where I'm at now.....making my list.  Why the tape? As for the nightie, I'm just going to wear what I have. I thought of getting a nice new robe for my parade, but It's impractical, I wouldn't ever use it afterwards. Which Walmart do you go to? Why not return it if you don't like it?  I really like the color yellow, but since I drive a bus, that's what I feel I look like in yellow. I'm sure when the lbs start dropping, it's gonna' look soooooooo finnnnneeeeeeeee.

Tape is to measure myself so I will know how many inches I am losing. And, yes! You will be soooo fiiiine! LOL

If you are like me you will not need the new night gown for the hospital,,,, you will just wear the hospital one and a second as a house coat,,, it seams like all of us bought a new gown , but none of us used it... Keep the yellow 3X for home use, don't worry about what you look like now, once you have surgery you will change sooooooooooooooooo fast, keep that gown and look at later when it is so big it will wrap around you 3 times :)  Take Care

I agree, the hospital gown is all you will need or want after surgery.  They make them plenty big for bariatric patients and if you stay over a night you'll get a clean one for the next day.  Save the new night gown for home.  I just got home yesterday from my Lap RNY and I'm wearing my new one that I took with me to the hospital to wear.  Best of luck, Mary Pat
