I have yet another question...
Ok, so I'm actually back up to 302...which I will admit, especially after my pat on the back post of this past Sunday, is a bit embarrassing and kind of annoying. Although, I guess the way that I’ve been losing lately, it’s not really unexpected. I lose a few one day go up a little less the next day, hang out there for a few days and then start the process over.
The silver lining is that for some reason I decided to try on a pair of 44 jeans I bought last week, without trying them on, and they fit. This blows my mind because when I started this whole thing I was straining the seams of 60’s. I really can’t describe the joy of not having to shop at the “fatty” store any more…other’s may know it as the Casual Male Big & Tall. I loved the store for what it was but hated it at the same time. Let’s see how much you can single out someone by putting the exact name of why you have to shop there right in the title and then paint the damn thing a snappy YELLOW so everybody notices…but I digress.
There is a question here I swear. I’ve read that plateau, which I guess is kind of what this is as I’ve been hanging out in the 300 to 310 range for quite a few weeks, is a normal thing. Does anyone else experience the, lose three gain two kind of thing? I’m also pretty sure that I’ve read here that even if weight stays the same, you lose inches…which would explain the unexpected modeling of size 44 jeans for my wife this morning.
I guess other than the three steps forward two steps back…which is at least in the right direction, I was wondering if what I described is normal (but what is normal really?) and if it happens to anyone else? Also, six monts out is kind of soon to stop losing weight, right? I mean I don't really think thats whats happening but... I can tend to be a bit paranoid on occasion, I guess.
Thanks,
Joe

Oh and by the way, thanks to everyone for putting up with all my stupid questions and off topic ramblings…and an especially big thanks to everyone *****plied about the Kayak post. Maybe we should organize an OH field trip to the US National Whitewater Center. It’s at 820 Hawfield Rd in
J Just something to think about.
Thanks again…
Joe

Hi Joe - I don't have any advise for you since I am still pre-op, but I just wanted to say "hey." My husband kayaks. Something I look forward to doing soon...for the first time. As for right now? I don't think I could squeeze my "gluteous maximus" into that damned hole! And if i did, getting out would be a real sight to behold, I am sure. Checked out your pics. What amazing progress. Keep up the good work and that scale will be moving again in no time! Happy Kayaking! Mary Ann
