More motel info for Wilmington get together

Evening everyone- I stopped in another hotel tonight to get some rate info- it's the Drifter's Reef Motel ( website www.driftersreef.com)  I spoke with Toni- she's an odd bird- they do have rooms available for the weekend of July 27, however she initially said she was not taking any more reservations- this struck me as odd- to only take walk-ins as 1 st come, 1st served....She says too many people will give credit card info at the time of reservation and then no show and then refuse the credit card charge if they did not actually call and cancel the reservation. Bottom line- after discussion- I think she will indeed take a reservation if you are certain you are coming and provide the payment info. Their phone number is 910-458-5414. Their rates were $129/night. Personally- I would recommend Microtel over Drifter's Reef....but just wanted to continue to provide options! Sheila
